South Australian businesses were you impacted the week of July 20th to July 26th, 2021 with more than a 30% decline in revenue? The SA Lockdown Business Support Grant closes on September 30th.

To be eligible for the one-off $3,000 grant, a business must;
1. be located within SA and employ people in SA
2. have a valid and active ABN and be registered for GST
3. have annual turnover of $75,000 or more in 2020-21 or 2019-20
4. have an Australia-wide payroll of less than $10 million in 2019-20
5. have experienced at least a 30% reduction (compared to the week prior) in turnover due to the restricted trading conditions.
To be eligible for the one-off $1,000 grant, a non-employing business must meet the criteria above excluding the employment requirement.
PLUS an additional $1,000 is available for businesses based in the Adelaide CBD with postcode 5000 and eligibility requirements above.
NEW top-up COVID Support Grants Announced for South Australia!
Hospitality, Arts, events & related services, Transport, Tourism, Services and Education, Non-essential retail, Health Care & Social Assistance businesses as classified by the Eligible ANZSIC classes may be eligible for a top-up grant.

NEW COVID-19 Tourism and Hospitality Support Grant (SA Based)
Businesses in eligible tourism and hospitality sectors that have already received the COVID-19 Additional Business Support Grant can receive an automatic further payment of:
$3,000 for employing businesses with turnover less than $2 million
$10,000 for employing businesses with turnover of greater than $2 million
$20,000 for employing businesses with turnover of greater than $5 million
$1,000 for non-employing businesses
Businesses in this sector with a turnover of greater than $2 million and $5 million will also be eligible for a further grant of $7,000 and $17,000. You will need to apply separately and provide the required supporting evidence to receive the additional $7,000 or $17,000 payment.
Applications for the larger (turnover based) COVID-19 Tourism and Hospitality Support Grant will be opening on Friday 17 September 2021.

NEW Major Events Business Support Grant
Up to $25,000 is available for the operators of major one-off events impacted by the July lockdown and subsequent trading restrictions in South Australia.
To be eligible for the grant a business must:
Have a valid and active ABN and be registered for the GST.
Have an Australia-wide payroll of less than $10 million in the 2019-20 financial year.
Employ people in South Australia.
Be the organiser/operator of an event that:
commenced on or prior to 20 July 2021, and was required to be cancelled/postponed as a result of State‑wide lockdown and further restrictions; or
was scheduled to be held over period of State-wide lockdown or restrictions commencing 20 July 2021 up to 10 August 2021 and has been cancelled/postponed as a result of the restrictions.
was a one-off event with an approved COVID Management Plan or COVID Safe Plan catering for an event of over 1,000 combined capacity in one or across multiple locations. Entities with an on-going COVID-19 Management/Safe Plan for regular events are not eligible.
Have incurred a non-recoverable financial loss as a result of the cancellation or postponement of the event.
To receive the full grant, organisers must have experienced a non-recoverable loss greater than $25,000.
PLUS NEW COVID-19 Business Hardship Grant (SA Based)
A COVID-19 Business Hardship Grant has been introduced to provide assistance to businesses that have been significantly impacted by COVID-19 restrictions but haven’t been eligible for previous business grant support since July 2021.
Grants of $6,000 for employing businesses and $2,000 for non-employing businesses will be available for eligible businesses that have experienced a 50 per cent reduction in turnover when compared to the benchmark period.
Must select a relevant two week period between 20 July 2021 (beginning of lockdown) and 31 August 2021 (impacted period) where they experienced a 50 per cent reduction in turnover when compared to a relevant two week benchmark period in 2019 (or 2021);
AND
Must not have received grant assistance through the COVID-19 Business Support Grant or COVID-19 Additional Support Grant provided by the South Australian Government following the 20 July 2021 lockdown.
